FAQ

  • What are the opening and closing times?
    Gates open at 12 noon. Music stops at 7:45pm, site closes at 8pm sharp ⛔️
  • How do I get to Kinver?
    Please see the above access map for The Big Day Out Kinver. Please avoid the High Street in Kinver where possible. Kinver Market will be operating during the day from 10pm until 3pm. Directions from parking to the site will be signposted. Please be courteous, quiet and respectful when arriving to the site and leaving the site so the good folk of Kinver welcome us back next year.
  • Where can I park my car?
    Please see the map below for visitor car park and additional event parking areas for The Big Day Out Kinver. Please respect the residents and Kinver Market, please do not park roadside, don't park outside residents homes, only park in our designated parking zones. If you are unsure of how much alcohol you have consumed, you can leave your car, but please collect before 6pm the next day. All vehicles are parked at the owners risk.
  • Which route should I take to leave the event?
    Please follow the designated route when leaving the site as seen on the map below. Please respect the people of Kinver when leaving the event, keep noise to a minimum and don't leave litter or other belongings. The exit route from the event will be signposted on the day.
  • Can I leave and return to the event?
    Sorry, there will be no pass-outs. Once you’re in, you’re in! ❌
  • Can I bring my own food and drink?
    Your own food and drink is not permitted in the venue. ❌
  • Is there a search policy?
    Yes. Please do not bring the following as they are not allowed on site: Food / Alcohol / Drinks / Drugs Anything that could be construed as a weapon i.e. small pen knife, scissors etc.
  • Is there a minimum age?
    No. All ages are welcome! However, minimum age for the bars is 18 - a Challenge 25 policy will be operated so please bring I.D. If you look under 25, you will be challenged and have to produce bona fide ID driving license passport or ID card. Without these, you will not receive a wristband to entitle you to drink or purchase alcohol on site. Anyone seen in a wristband of the wrong colour drinking alcohol on site will be challenged along with the whole group/party.
  • Is there first aid on site?
    Yes, there will be 4 medics and an ambulance on-site. These will be situated between the entry and exit points.
  • Can I bring my dog?
    You can bring dogs but they MUST be on a lead and dog hygiene is paramount.
  • Will there be seating?
    There will be seating areas around the site 🪑
  • Can I bring my own chair or gazebo?
    You can bring chairs, but not tables.
  • Can I bring a pushchair / carrycot / pram.
    Pushchairs, carrycots and prams are allowed.
  • Can I bring a bag?
    Yes, but please do not try to bring food or drink into the event - you will be ejected.
  • How do I pay for food and drink?
    We are strictly card only. Our machines will take all types of cards including Apple Pay. Some vendors may take cash. 💳 💷
  • Do I need to print my tickets?
    Please bring your electronic ticket on your phone. This will be scanned on entry. If you wish to print off we can still scan the QR code. If you have lost your ticket, please contact us via our website giving us your name, email address and phone number and - if you still have it, Initial reference number. We will respond within 12 hours, so to avoid delays please check you have your tickets on Thursday.
  • What if I lose my ticket?
    Please contact The Big Day Out help desk and we will provide you with a replacement?
  • What if I lose my belongings?
    Lost property during the event will be handed to the security point. For lost property after the event, please contact us via our website.
  • Is there a cloakroom?
    No, it is not required.
  • Are there any local taxis?

  • Is there a welfare tent?
    Yes, it is located next to security and first aid tents, between the entry and exit points.
  • Children's health and welfare.
    We would strongly advise that you write the parent/guardians telephone number on your childrens wristband.
  • Be drink aware.
    Don't let good times go bad, please drink responsibly. If you are unsure of how much alcohol you have consumed, you can leave your car, but please collect before 6pm the next day. All vehicles are parked at the owners risk.
  • Can we dance and party all day in the sun?
    Yes! But make sure you fetch sun protection!
